BRIDAL MAKEUP

Wedding Makeup

Having your wedding day make up created by a professional on your big day allows you to relax, be pampered and be in control, knowing that the things that matter to a bride the most (apart from the dress!) are covered.

Pre-wedding trial

*As of Summer 2020 all makeup trials will take place at my studio in Bishop's Stortford

**As of January 2021 I will no longer be taking new hairstyling bookings

At your trial session I will first discuss all the aspects of your wedding that can overlap with your makeup choices. Styles, themes, colours and of course your ideal finished look! It's really helpful to create a Pinterest or moodboard of makeup that you like the look of. It gives a really clear idea of what you're hoping for! Once we have a good overview of the things you have in mind, I will set to work creating your look. What I first show you is by no means the finished article! Some brides fall in love at first sight, others like to tweak their eyeliner, blush shade or lippy to get it just right!

Your initial reaction also speaks volumes so please do be honest with me! You know your face, your likes and dislikes, so share them with me too!

Once you are happy with your final look I will take lots of photos and create a personal face chart. I list all the products I use so you can be sure your makeup will be replicated exactly like it was the first time. I hold all trials at home studio in Great Hallingbury and generally last 1-2 hours.

Trials are vital for all brides and optional for other members of your bridal party. Please do bring a friend or family member along for the experience if you'd like to!
I
have a number of artists that I can call upon to assist with makeup for larger wedding parties, so all can be catered for. It is worth noting that I require a minimum of 3 people for all weddings.

Your Big Day

When your wedding day swiftly comes around I will always arrive promptly, allowing extra time to set up and pack away. I will have already liaised with your photographer, venue and hairstylist (if necessary) so that we all work in sync with each other. I like to see you, the bride second to last and will work in whichever order suits you and your bridal party. To give you a rough idea on timings; I allow around an hour for the bride and up to 45 minutes for all others. It's also essential that all hair and makeup is finished at least one hour before your ceremony time.

I will stay with you right until the ceremony (or for as long as you need me) for final touch ups and last minute checks. I am also a dab hand at lacing dresses when Mums/bridesmaids hands get a bit shakey! I can't wait to work with you! Please view my price list below or get in touch via email, info@makeupbykayleigh.com if you have any questions!

Lessons

Makeup lessons are a great way to pick up some new tips, update your look or get out of any makeup rut! They are also very beneficial for Brides who are looking to do their own makeup, particularly if you are getting married abroad.

I offer a selection of specific lessons if there is something you wish to focus on, or charge my time hourly for those looking to cover a bit of everything. I provide one-to-one lessons as well as group ones, which can be a lovely addition to a hen do or baby shower!

Prices for specific lessons, including Bridal, are available on request. My general rate for non-specific lessons is £50 per hour, where you may state how long you wish me to spend with you.

Special Occasions

When you have that special event to attend, you want to look and feel your best!

Whether you are a guest at a wedding or it’s your school prom night I can provide makeup for any occasion.

Trials are not essential for this type of service, however are available should you wish to try out a few looks beforehand. We will discuss the type of event you are attending, what you are wearing and whether you require full on glam or a more natural, radiant look.

Appointments will take place at my home studio. Limited availability for Saturday mornings due to wedding commitments.
